Rock crushing and mineral separation

We have all needed equipment for sample preparation and mineral separation such as mineral separation for geochronology (especially zircons) or the grinding of rock samples for geochemical analyses.

For the coarse separation jaw crushers, stone saws and mills (with grinding sets of agate, zircon oxid and heavy-metal-free steel) are available.

For the fine separation we can use sieving machines, sample mount polishing, Frantz magnetic separators, heavy mineral separation (LST Fastfloat, ...), a dry vibration table (for mica concentration), and a Wilfley table.

In addition a dental driller, a microdrill for thin sections, lab centrifuge, several balances, drying oven and ultra sonic baths are available.
