Quantitative analysis of metamorphic P-T-t paths

Short course by Prof. Fred Gaidies (Carleton University Ottawa)

Prof. Fred Gaidies is one of the leading scientist in metamorphic petrology. He has a sabbatical stay at the Department of Lithospheric research during summer term 2016.

The short course he gives covers the theory and application of metamorphic phase equilibria using the Theriak-Domino software (de Capitani & Petrakakis, 2010), and gives an introduction to metamorphic garnet crystallization simulations using the software Theria_G (Gaidies et al., 2008). It is a hands-on course, the participants are encouraged to bring and discuss their own study material. For more information see (flyer)
